Ungár Péter országgyűlési képviselő és Kendernay János társelnök a mai napon levelet küldtek Bruce Willisnek, a Hell Energy Csoport globális és hazai reklámarcának.

Mint ismert, a tatai Öreg-tó partján építene luxushotelt a Hell Energy csoport tagja, az Avalon Center Kft. Az ötcsillagos, 120 szobás szállodát 24 milliárd forintos beruházásból valósítanák meg.

A politikusok felhívták a világsztár figyelmét arra, hogy a tervezett beruházás súlyos ökológiai pusztításokhoz vezethet a környéken civilek és szakértők egybehangzó állítása szerint is. Ungár Péter és Kendernay János ezért arra kérik a színészt, hogy a környezetvédelem ügye mellett elkötelezett hírességként szólaljon fel a tervezett beruházás ellen és álljon ki a tatai Öreg-tó természeti értékeiért. Levelüket azzal zárták, hogy természetes környezetünk védelme bizonyosan sokkal fontosabb, mint néhány luxusapartman egy védett tó partján.

Dear Mr. Willis,

I am writing to you as a Member of the Hungarian Parliament of the Hungarian Green Party (LMP). The aim of our political community is to create effective political tools for tackling the climate crisis, therefore the protection of our natural environment, our rivers, lakes, forests and wildlife is highly important for us.

Since you are deeply involved with the Hell Energy Group as their main campaign figure this issue concerns you. The company is planning to build a five-star, 120-room hotel on the Western shore of the Old Lake Tata (Hungary) with an investment of HUF 24 billion.

However, you may not know that the planned investment could lead to a serious ecological disaster around the lake: that is also the unanimous opinion of the experts, key civil society representatives and the local people. As for my part, that is why I consider it highly important for an actor such as you, who is world-famous and committed to the environment protection, to speak out against the investment and emphasize that protecting our natural environment is much more important than a few luxury apartments on a sheltered Hungarian lake.

I do hope that your contribution can be beneficial for our cause and your words would truly bring change for the planned investment.
